The event is organised by a non-profit organization run by Pasquale Stirparo and Bartosz Jerzman, long time threat intelligence practitioners from Europe: therefore all the revenues will be used to fund PIVOTcon, as the conference is not backed by any specific company.
It is a conference run by threat analysts for threat analysts. Our goal is to create a trusted space to share and discuss the latest threats, to go beyond what we are able to share in public forums, blog posts and reports, pushing the bar higher, and to strengthen connections between threat researchers. We bring the focus on the analyst, share pivoting techniques and each other’s analytical tradecraft to uncover threats.We put the analyst at the centre, sharing pivot techniques and each other’s analytical tradecraft to uncover threats.
This has been long in the making, it’s an idea that had its inception a few years ago while attending other similar great events like BotConf, CyberWarCon and LABScon. We felt there was still a gap in the European scene, and we wanted to bring the European threat intelligence practitioners closer, as well as to get them closer to the community in the US and the rest of the world.
Last but not least, we would also like to thank our Event Partner Dasha Diaz and itrainsec, without whom our humble but still ambitious project would not have come to life.
